Hybrid seminar center of the German Lawyers’ Institute

As hybrid events became more prominent during the pandemic, it was imperative to revitalize the seminar center and adapt to these evolving formats. Recognizing the need for a partner with proven expertise in AV integration, the Institute recently worked with FORTÉ to launch this transformation.

FORTÉ, known for their expertise in AV solutions, approached the project by conducting a thorough needs analysis. The goal was to create a seamlessly integrated conference environment that would support on-site guests, remote participants and speakers alike. This included the design of advanced media technology for two hybrid seminar rooms, a professional studio and sophisticated sound reinforcement technology in the foyer.

A key element of the project was the installation of a 9.6 meter wide Fine Pitch LED wall, which provides a dynamic platform for various presentations. This was complemented by a fully automated streaming setup with Tricaster systems, ensuring reliable and high-quality transmissions. An innovative approach was taken with the implementation of IP-based transmission for audio and video to enable smooth communication across all formats.

Throughout the process, FORTÉ worked closely to overcome several challenges, including the integration of scene-based automated routing and processing using NVX, Dante and NDI technologies. Precision in audio transmission was achieved through careful calibration of the beamsteering sound reinforcement system to ensure optimal performance.

The result is a seminar center that effectively supports hybrid events and provides a cohesive and enhanced experience for all participants. Centralized control facilitates efficient management and underlines the success of the project in enhancing the institute’s seminar capabilities. • Studio lighting system including flexible ceiling track system with pantographs: The lighting system offers versatile options for different types of events and recordings and ensures optimum lighting.
• Precise, digitally controlled beamsteering sound reinforcement from Pan Acoustics: This advanced sound reinforcement system delivers clear and focused sound to specific areas and enhances the listening experience.
